The Whales Are Back!

A Maui tour boat operator has reported the first humpback whale sighting of the season.
The whale was sighted breaching between Lanai and Molokai on October 7 by the 52 foot Lanakila, owned by Safari Boat Excursions.

Court Prevents Superferry from Serving Maui

Maui Circuit Judge Joseph Cardoza ruled today to keep the Hawaii Superferry from sailing until an environmental study is competed. Whether this ruling also prevents the Alakai from serving Kauai is still unclear.
