What surprised us the most was how empty it was. There were only about a dozen other couples or families there, and that was around 11am. It was rather windy, though. Compare that to the smaller, more crowded Kapalua beach nearby, D.T. is an R&R dream come true. We were there last year as well, might go back next week. It's just so beautiful! The Ritz-Calrton had a beach grill on the beach that served good (but expensive) lunches. I assume they still do after the renovation.
